UN Goodwill Ambassador Malala Yousefzai

Published on July 14, 2016 by Jeff Koinange

U.N goodwill ambassador and Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai visited the world’s largest refugee camp on her 19th birthday yesterday and voiced concern that Kenya’s plans to close it could create a lost generation. The government announced in May that it plans to close the camp near the Somali border by the end of the year, terming it as a security liability. Earlier today, Malala spoke exclusively to ktn’s Jeff Koinange before leaving Kenya.
